2009 MPS Event #2 – May 30/31, 2009 – PCOC in Choctaw, OK

on the prizes, I need to hear from you players what you want as far as prizes. Do you want me to do what I did at event 1 and give away the nicer markers for first place but then only give prizes to the top 3 or 4 places? Or can I do something like Minis, tanks, bags, etc for first and then give prizes to the top 6?

The differece is, if I stick with KEE products, I get a heck of a deal which allows me to do more and give away more... but when I don't give away KEE products, I gotta pay normal cost from the suppliers which eats up most of the prize budget.

Let me know your thoughts.

I think everyone liked event 1 prize situation. I'm not sure though. I don't think l2 and l1 are going to want minis imo. But I don't play those levels so it doesn't matter to me.

keep in mind that we're talking more than just minis for L1 and L2, it will be a collection of things, minis, tanks, loaders, bags, etc. all for first place.

Yeah, idk. Some guys rock minis in l1/l2.....

I think having prizes for more places would be nice. Gives a few more teams a chance to recoup some costs

Same as first event would be cool, and I agree with maybe switching Droids out with Egos or something. The problem with switching 1st to multiple prizes instead of just expensive guns is that it makes it really hard for that team to sell all of the gear, opposed to just one thing.

one thing, lets not have the jerseys tucked in front. alot of teams payed good money for their jerseys. it's kind of a slap in the face to have to cover them up.

Yeah I'll agree that the tuck in rule was kind of a beat down, because even at PSP they don't care about that stuff. The only thing about jerseys hanging they are strict on is covering your packs with the jersey over the top.

Thats wierd the ruls says this

8.03 – The outer layer may be un-tucked in the front of the player but must be fully tucked into player’s pants or harness in the back.

Thier shouldn't of been a reason for the the make you tuck them in unless Dan changed his mind.

"not being offensive" i thought it was kinda dumb that a local ref was able to change an mps rule. not bashing the refs either. they did good.

Things to keep in mind for event #2…

1. If you played event #1 and you didn’t have a picture uploaded, you need to have one uploaded before you can play event #2. I will be looking for this.

2. If you played event #1 and your playing Event #2 also, make sure you keep your team name the same to ensure you get the series points. If you change your team name, you must contact me by email and let me know so I can make sure your series points gets to the right team name. remember, you can only change your team name once in a season. More than one change will result in you losing your series points.

3. If you played event #1, that roster is considered your original players and to be considered the same team, you must keep at least 2 of the same players for a 3man team and 3 of the same players for a 5man team in order to be considered the same team for series points.

Also keep in mind... we will probably run 1 field on Sunday like we typically do. This MAY result in a team cap... especially if we get the numbers like we did on event #1. To ensure your spot at this event, get signed up and paid ASAP!
