God, no. Don't do a remake on these shows! I'm sick to death that they turn all the best movies I grew up with into crappy "remakes". I'm sorry, but they are never as good as the originals - I can't think of a single one that was better. They need to just leave them alone and come up with something new.
I love these shows. Well, not Thunderdome, so much, but the other ones are among my top favorites. Roadwarrior is probably my favorite one of them all, though.
I honestly think a remake on these could be done right. Provided they got a good director behind it, and a bit of a larger budget than the original films had (considering nearly all of the original film's budgets went to buying all of the cars to destroy).
And I still want a Ford XB Falcon...I may settle for a Falcon XC Cobra...

The Road Warrior was an awesome flick, so not all sequels are bad. I even liked the third film Beyond Thunderdome, I could easily see that they wanted to lighten things up, cause the first two movies were quite hardcore. When and if they make a 4th movie, the creaters of the film may make it dark (I hope), because alot of films lately have been pretty grim and violent.
If anyone wants to see the Mad Max movie vehicles, just look them up on Youtube. There is one video that shows a car collector that has the exact model of that magnificant Ford Falcon tricked out like the one in the movie.
Another video shows the vicious "skull-ornament on hood" car from the second movie, The Road Warrior. The car is shown chasing Max at the beginning of the movie. I was impressed that the private owner of the "Skull" car, made the vehicle so cool and mean looking.
