e1 gasket leak?

i just put a new noid in and a new gasket lubed it with dow 33 and tryed without too and i cant reach operating pressure without it leaking out of the front gap between the solenoid and the noid case and also coming around the sides

and also ive made sure the noid is positioned correctly on the noid thanks

Just a guess....

If it is not the gasket then it sounds like it could be a bad seal in your ram venting into your solenoid.

When at rest, the back barb on the ram would be getting pressure. If the seal was bad in the ram, some air could leak past the oring and vent out the front of your ram into your solenoid.

Just a guess since you tried everything else: noid, gasket, and adjusting LPR.

you can put the front barb in water, or pinch it and see if the leak stops. My solenoid manifold has the same leak. Mine sometimes seals it self for the day. It's not a loud leak like it's venting, more of an annoying hiss, right?

i mean its a hiss but its nothing i would take onto the field with me ya know?

also my back qev on my ram leaked but i switched out with a barb and its fine now lol

but i did do a little vacuum test with the ram i dunno if that would work flawlessly though but i took the qev's off and stuck my finger over the hole and pulled a vacuum with the back block and it held pressure in both directions

that would probably mean it would hold pressure. your lpr could be too high.

if your sure its the ram(only resort to if youve tried everything) you ll need a new ram or ram shaft

In another post, he said the noid wiggled in the cover... I am pretty sure they don't wiggle. Maybe the threads into the cover are stripped from overtightening the noid on... or not tight enough (don't strip the threads).

i found a way to stop the leak but not by any means the way the factory would do it

ok so basicly i got some caulk (the clear **** ftw) and put a ball on a piece of cardboard and slowly painted it on the high potential air passages with a toothpick (excluding the extra what looks like exhaust valves since they were meant not to be sealed) but anyway i let it sit overnight and seal and this morning she rips tits ......too bad i didnt turn my hopper on at first and got the worst chop ive ever dealt with lmao but thanks for all your help and maybe if your running low on money or dont have a gasket available this method will work it just needs a night to dry

Well at least now you know what the problem was... stupid gasket... and now you have an extra solenoid.

haha yea and your noid works just fine too i just think i need to A) up the lpr pressure or B) up the solenoid back time
