I removes the hammer and regular valve in your autococker.

The MQ has this tiny piece of plastic(poppit) that is in the valve that has a tiny hole that goes through it. When the cocker is aired up, the air flows through the tiny whole in the poppit. This causes equal pressure in front and behind the poppit. So the poppit isn't moving or anything. When you shoot(activate the solenoid) the solenoid creates more room behind the poppit for air to go. When this happens, there is lower pressure behind the poppit. The great pressure in front of the poppit pushes the poppit back allowing air to go through the valve and up through the marker shooting the paintball. After the shot, the solenoid goes back into place and allows equal pressure around the poppit again which is now ready to be shot again.

Thats the simplest I could put it lol

That was just my opinion of the valve.

The link was the explanation of the valve. Don't expect to be spoonfed everything.

Just giving you a hard time mate.

I do recomend the MQ since it will reduce "kick" of the marker. and if tuned correctly, will lower the sound signature of the gun to a deightfull pop. much like a spool IMO.

I can say for certain that if you have a working cocker that shoots just fine you are one of the three, or all of the above. 1- you are not an idiot. 2- you know someone who is not an idiot. 3- you have enough money to pay someone who is not an idiot. - jonotwist

wrong. the MQ will be as fast or slower than a regular valve setup.

I agree and disagree. (lol). The reason to get an MQ is not to increase bps. It is to make the gun smoother. It is a little more difficult to get an MQ'd gun to shoot into the higher bps numbers than it is with a standard valve. Mainly because with a standard valve, your lpr is set high enough to recock the gun, which is usually enough to cycle into the high teens.

The part where I disagree is that the MQ valve itself will cycle upwards of 100cps. So if you jack up your lpr, and reduce your bolt-close delay into the 8-15ms range, you're going to be shooting quite fast, albeit not very smoothly...

Its the Viagra of autocockers. It lets the old cockers compete with the younger guns.....
