Basically, it replaces the mechanical sear tripper in any given e-frame, the hammer, spring, and cocking assembly with a electronically controlled poppet and valve. It virtually elemenates kick, greatly reduces the PSI output needed from the LPR, and can do wonders to improve BPS.

New, yes. Now that the MQ2 came out, its possible to find an original for around 100 or under, but they are rare still.

Original MQ's arent to easy to come by because there wasnt alot of them produced, and it wasnt uncommon for them to be destroyed whilst someone a little less than knowledgeable about them. I dont remember the details, but I believe it was patent infringement that got them originally. The MQ2's, from what I hear, are quite a bit more robust.

I might be able to help you with photos.

As far as I know, the MQ2 is still in production, but I say that because I havent heard anything one way or another. The original MQ was out of production for a number of years before the reemergence of it in the MQ2 last year, I think?

Hope this helps understand how it works:

Might as well airbolt it too. Also theres a 90* frame for Eblades in the works as the rumor has it.

The above thread could help explain the Airbolt a bit better. Basicly it turns the ram and bolt into one part.

No, when the solenoid is energized, the blanched seal becomes unbalanced and then the poppit moves back letting the air go through it and into the bolt. When the noid is not energized, it seals and then the balanced seal is created again. (Rough explanation)

That explains pretty much everything about the valve.

TL;DR

A nice upgrade if you have the money to burn.
