nope all other regs use threads the vibe's reg, Maxflo R vertical reg just slides in place based on the shape of the plastic of the body and top of the reg.

i have dissassembled mien several times.

First remove macro from asa and reg
remvoe grip frame
remove the screw in front of the barrel threads
lightly pull on reg
then unscrew hose from solenoid.

That is how u remove it i will get pics if u like

stock reg is a really good reg. No need to replace. It preforms great with CO2...looks great and feels great and well balanced....save your moniez!

I'm the type of guy who likes breaking down all of his stuff every once in a while. I was thinking about getting a CP reg, since there is a vid out there on how to take it apart and such. I dont like snap rings...... bad experiances with them.

Makes sense that it's not threaded cause there's that screw in the breech that holds it.

ya if a new reg came out for a vibe like a hyper reg or CP, you would lose the ability to use Co2, thats why many companies don't bother. many vibe users bought their vibe specifically to use it with co2.

What's the difference? If the vibe reg is made to work with air what difference would be had by changing it? (geniune question I know nothing on this subject)

there is threading on the regulator. when i take mine apart i have to unscrew it. the threading is the same on air tanks. i screwd my 68/4500 bottle (empty of course) in the threading and it went in just fine.

Compressed air and co2 or 2 different things. other egs are not compatible with co2 that is why with any high or mid range electro you have to use HPA.

You can use any reg with the Vibe. Unscrew the ASA from the bottom of the gun, and you should be able to unscrew the reg just like any other regulator.

If u show me pics I'll believe u about the ability to put a different reg or screw the bottle straight into the gun(the area equivalent to a VA on a shocker). I will get pics as soon as possible to prove the lack of threading on the reg.

EDIT: making the vibe maintenance vid right now brb

ok i just changed the reg on my vibe it just screws off like a regular reg, its a bit of a b**** to get off but yes you can change it, but you wont be able to use co2 on your vibe anymore, i changed it because i didnt like the stock reg it felt to big in my hands, and i just put an evil detonator on mine
