Help with Halo B Disassembly

I'm trying to take my Halo B apart to put on a replacement back plate and I get all the screws off, open the lid and try to get the shell to come apart and the thing will not move. Anyone have any suggestions to make the two shell halves separate? I don't want to try and force the shell open and have it crack or break so I would appreciate any suggestions anyone might have for this problem. Thanks.

make 100% sure you have all the screws completly unscrewed and turn it over on its side tap it tell the screws fall out . then try to remove the shells again

yeah, I did both of those things, its like its stuck down near the feedport. It can be pried apart up at the top of the loader but not down at the bottom.

Yeah, I bought it new from my local shop, I don't know what is going on with it. I'll probably just take it back to the store I got it from and let them deal with it.
