New SEPS Rate of Fire Release
After lots of thought and consultation with others, the 2009 ROF will be 12.5 for Open and 10.5 for Novice. Semi or psp ramping capped.
This decision is a bridge between conforming to the new industry standard and keeping players happy. If you play novice, you have to cap it at 10.5bps or under. Open players can enjoy a faster rof and a little more challenge due to the higher rof. Also, Open players can just cap it at 10.5bps to keep consistency with PSP or CFOA if they want.
I hope this decision is satisfactory to most of the players and we will keep working to make the SEPS the best regional series in the southeast. Again as always, I encourage any input(positive or negative) and lets get ready to rumble in March. Thanks,
mark

Overall I belive the Choices for 2009 have been wise and have catered to the new and experienced.
GL to all the teams playing from MS and look forward to getting in a couple events this year.

I'll prolly end up playing a few seps this season, Im not happy about the 10/12 cap, but i'll get over it.
The cap keeps dropping more and more...what is the point of getting a ramping gun to shoot 10bps...bring out the cockers and mags boys, paintball is going to end up like it was 10-15 years ago.
So what is the rule for mech guns? if the cap is 12/10 theres no reason to go blow the $$$ on an electro when i can just dust off the misc cockers and mags in the closet..From my understanding PSP will not allow a gun that is "un-cappable" is this true with the seps?

As long as it is a true semi, I don't see a problem at all with shooting it. A true semi cant be shot that fast anyway. No RT or bouncing trigger guns because we all know what they can do. Thanks,

I guess for those kids that buy guns that shoot 20 bps so they can light up the rec ballers with rental tippmanns. lol Some kids still believe the marker makes the player......

i actually agree with the 10 or 12 bps rule it make the games based on skill and not the gun fire power and it will cost less to play the series

I'm seriously thinking about an all mech team at some events that don't have a pump division. Got the bodys just gotta see if they are up for it lol.

yeah you can shoot an old piranha at 10bps with a fast FINGER. In my opinion, PSP 3 ball is gay but, thats the way it is. like the guy said, "why buy an expensive marker that shoots 20bps?" or up a board to 20bps if you cant play with it? come on now.
time for a new division.

Seps Rof
I played Sunday at YJP with my gun on the new ROF at 10bps, I had a 68 year old fat dude get through my lane and then bunker me with a pump. Just kidding, it really was not that bad.

Just to clear some thing up so everyone can get ready for the season, the following is in line with PSP specs and will be enforced. Thanks,
mark
OPEN: No more than one paintball per 80 milliseconds (12.5 bps)
NOVICE: No more than one paintball per 95 milliseconds (10.5 bps)

can you explain this? these two statements conflict, or I interpreted it wrong.
10.5 bps /=/ 10 bps or under.
