A few:
Performance = Large internal volume, very good recharge, and reaction rates
Adjustment knob tension set screw
Easy to work on, but rarely needs to be done
Off the shelf standard seals though out, so no problem getting parts
Good fit and finish
Cheap
In that order.

Now what would the diff be between the fgp and say the rock?
Money?
And now that we're on the topic of lpr's, I had a question as I think it mite be lpr related...
I have a micro rock on my Karni, and when in classic mode, that's how I adjust lpr on a karni, ill notice when I pull and hold the trigger, that after the bolt/back block go back, they sort of slowly inch further back a bit, maybe a 1/4 inch or so...
Is this an lpr prob? Or a 3way prob? Or maybe even a ram prob? Any help wud be appreciated...

Assuming that nothing is leaking, it could just be that it goes back further initially because of the impact of the mass of the bolt, backblock, and pump arm carry some inertia when moving backwards. When the inertia is spent, everything settles forward a little. Just a guess...

The back block creeps back a little because the LPR is set just high enough to cock the gun, but not high enough to completely bottom out the ram, and compress the main spring. It's a side effect of the Karni having a slightly short IVG rod from the factory, and the fact that the LPR is a little low.
Why an FGP over a Rock or mini Rock? When I was using a mini-Rock, the knob would wiggle loose, slowly lowering the LPR output when the LPR was set to the correct pressure. If I turned it up, the extra spring tension would hold the knob in place, but where I wanted it, every 200 or so shots, I had to tweak it back up, or the gun wouldn't cycle correctly. Also, at where I wanted it, the Rock wouldn't keep up with high ROF. I had to give it another 1/4 turn, or the gun would choke at anything over 5 bps. With the FGP, the knob doesn't move, and I can set the LPR at the bare minimum of cocking pressure, and have no problems with recharge rates at high ROF.

I can say for certain that if you have a working cocker that shoots just fine you are one of the three, or all of the above. 1- you are not an idiot. 2- you know someone who is not an idiot. 3- you have enough money to pay someone who is not an idiot. - jonotwist

hmm maybe thaaats my problem, the screw is wiggling loose. im gonna install an scm and see.
Now does the ram have to bottom out? Its almost like it shouldnt because then the lug would most likely be slapping the body. No?

I always adjust my lpr so that the ram bottoms out on my Karnivor. I found that if I set it lower, it wouldn't recock reliably. The lug won't even come close to hitting the body.

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of great LPR's out there but don't forget, the tickler did come on the Karni and was the cocker to beat for a long time.

the eclipse nexus ram has a lot of pop on it if an SCM III or some sort of rock lpr isnt used with it when your guns halfed/midded in my experience. the ANS mini ram runs at a lot lower preaaure and its smooth. same goes for th FreeFlow
