Just heard from PowerLyte (re: more inserts)

I just received an email back from Paul @ PowerLyte in regards to some more inserts for the Scepter barrel kit!

I don't know if a lot of you have been having the same problems I've had this summer, but with all the rain we've been having in Central Florida, I've actually needed a barrel in the .695+ range due to swelling paint (from heat and humidity).

Here's a copy of the email I received:

"Thanks for your input on the Scepter system. We are planning on adding a
larger and a smaller bore size to the lineup and should have some around
World cup. They will be available seperately and only in small quantities
at first. The larger bore size will most likely be a .696" and the smaller
a .680". Please keep an eye on our website or come by our booth if you'll
be at the World cup.

Thanks again.

Powerlyte Sales and Service"

See ya'll at Cup!

that would be great!! i just played a local tourney and the paint at the beginning of the day was .695-.696. I was dreaming of a bigger insert that day!!

From what PowerLyte told me, the quickest way to get them, is to show up at their booth @ World Cup and buy them.

I'm guessing the inserts will probably be between $30-60, since that's what they charge for tips and backs right now ($60). I'm hoping they'll be less.

At the time I emailed Paul, he didn't mention a price.

typically, new inserts carry a MSRP of $35 each.

I am definantly in need of both a larger and smaller insert. expecially with the inferno we sometimes get. the stuff would roll out a Mcdonalds straw... and dont even get me started on big paint... I had some nelsplat paint a while back that I had problems getting out of my barrel even when I tried to push one through with a stick squeegee.
