A4 Advice

Whats up angel brothers. Ive been out of the game for about 5 years. Went and played some ball at a new field that opened up close to my house last weekend and Ive gotten the bug again. Im a little dumb to all of the new gear. My question to you all would I be better off throwing some cash into my beloved a4 or just start over with a new platform. Seems you can get a decent gun for under $200.

No need for a new gun. If your gun works then I say stick with it. You wont have the efficiency as newer guns, but unless you plan on shooting 8+ pods every game it's not really that big a deal. Also, the firing modes could be an issue if you want to start playing tournaments.

Id like to play some tourny ball eventually. Also the board or battery are done for, it wont turn on right now. A new 9v board will require eyes right?

After the board I would recommend a new feedneck. Something like a lever clamping neck or a CCM neck. I always hated the compression o-ring necks that WDP used for a while.

Something just like this:

that feedneck from the a4 also loves to strip if you really give it a torquing -
