attention Appalachian State players

I am wanting to start a team up at Appalachian State. Possible Archon sponsorship and also I have access to a private sup air field for pratice, just need a good place to set it up. Not sure what division just depends on who all is interested but we will hopefully be playing Cfoa 5 man and 3 man. We are going to start up a club also for anyone to join no matter if you are a tournament player or not. Pm me if anyone is interested I have a couple solid guys so far.

I'm 20 minutes out of Boone. I will be at App this fall and would kill to be able to play up here.

good to hear. Thats three confirmed players so far if your wanting to play on the team. I have two possible players one d2 and one d3. Do you know of anyone else and whats your experience?

I might be interested if I have time next semester. I can think of at least one other real good player who might be down too. PM me any details you have about what the schedule would be like, where we'd practice, and if you've talked to the school about it yet.

theres a good chance id like to get involved, im going to be a sophomore up there this fall.

I use to play a lot but ended up selling my gear because there was no where to play in Boone. But im really glad this might really be happening. It would be sweet if it could become a club team through the school such as few other colleges have done.

Actually, if any of you are familiar with the Laurelmore (I can't spell it for crap) project near Boone, there was talk of them putting in a field. I know this because my dad is the VP of development for it. I'm hopefully going to be attending ASU next year, so its a possibility if the field is actually put in place.

As long as it doesn't interfere with NPPL, i'd be SO down with x-ball. I'll only be gone about one weekend between NPPL's , at least for first semester, but we may jump to Semipro after the end of the season.

Plus the increase of expense from five man to X-ball. It would probably be best to start a team and let the college get used to the idea.

True, but if we have the players I want to play d3. Archon might sponsor us so that would help. Also got a couple other sponsors i might work with including a pretty nice shop, and if we could get a little funding, i dont see why it couldnt happen....
