i think this is a REALLY good thing for the sport. if everybody quit whining and looked just a little deeper, then i think you might just realize it. took me while too but..
the good part is that companies will be less obligated to extend or continue sponsorships to newer or already sponsored teams. the ROF plays a HUGE role in this. less paint shot means more loyalty and affordability for the sponsoring company to continue a sponsorship or give out more. and those who dont have sponsorships and spend their own money on paint will have more money to spend on other essentials (guns, tanks, ect..) not to mention that the cost itself is slowly driving players away from the sport..
along with that.. companies will have more money for advertisement and technological advancement (i.e. more promotion of paintball as a sport and better products)
like it or not, paintball is not the most popular sport out there.. with this change, it could help a little. sure, its not going to make paintball an olympic sport or anything.. but it will assure a little more stable economy for the players and the companies. players will have more opportunities. and companies will have less to worry about and more to give.
if i missed anything, do tell
