I disagree. To a certain extent, your correct. But if your wanting to be at peak performance, being able to run and shoot near to ball on ball for example, practice and drills are a must.
Although, i see a lot of team "practice" by just running games all day. This is fine to find out what you need to improve upon, or to gel with your team. But, you have to run proper drills which resembles a game situation (i.e. Full pack, whilst tired, etc.) if you want to take first.
