Interesting. I'll have to see if this leak gets worse or is repaired..seen horror stories about how they don't get fixed and owners keep going to the dealer until the owner just says "screw it, it's a jeep" and moves on..unfortunately I'm not going to let that happen..not @ 27 grand
Only bad thing is my car is outdoors, not under a garage so I can let the already apparent leak fully dry..even with a dry/wet-vac.

1/2" plate tied into a 1/4" diff cover with a 1/4" tab (totaling 1/2" width)--the area in which the forces at the truss are distributed is massive (spread over entire housing) compared to the RK truss, plus the material is thicker. 5/16" link mounts with double and triple passes with a Lincoln 175 220a MIG.....
She aint going anywhere.

I'd care more for a diesel wrangler than an srt8 wrangler.

That one has been rumored for about 3 years now, the new one was the Renegade with the 5.7 Hemi that is supposed to be released. I don't think any V8 Wrangler style Jeep will ever be released to the public.

I know it's not a jeep but I need to replace my shocks, I don't know what type of shocks I need tho. I have a 68 Chevy c10 on 44s with a 12 inch lift.
Can you guys reccomend some shocks for me?
There's the truck.

You can't just do a shock recommendation, there are different valving patterns out there. No one here knows how your truck rides with that lift, I'd guess stiff as hell.

Posting to make yourself feel better? Just because you don't know how his truck rides does not mean you can't recommend a good set of shocks. However, you already knew how his truck would ride, as it is common sense, and you could have made a recommendation.

I own a fab shop, I know exactly what I am talking about. Shocks are designed around your sprung weight specifications, not just, "oh, buy these, these work great." Not true and doesn't work like that. To get a correct set of shocks per a vehicle you need to know the weight per each axle, what you want it to do (ie: mud, sand, drags, rocks, etc.) and you must know your spring rates.
If the vehicle rides like an empty dump truck do you really think a set of shocks will make a difference? No, because the springs are too stiff to cycle any suspension movement, including the shocks!

Look into BDS, Ive always had great experiences with them. Blew out a shock, they sent me a new one no questions asked.

I wish I had 40s....or the axles for 40s....or the money for 40s...
Dammit. I wish I had money for 35's and a regear.
My other hobbies are interfering with the jeep fund.
