Yeah I get that a lot. Half of the people make fun of them for being mall crawler wheels, half of the people love them to death. I got them for cheap so I decided to put them on.

Hi there I'm looking to pic up a 1996 cherokee classic....i found one and took a look at it tonight and everything seems to be in great shape...however I took a look by the front wheels....and saw some sticky residue...i for the life cannot figure out what could be causing it or the name of the part....does anyone have a picture of the area that could help me identify the area/part? it's a "c" shaped part

Take it easy with those top bolts lol. I was lucky and only had 1 of mine snap, after I drilled it out and started chasing the threads with another bolt, that one snapped too! Ended up cutting a small square out of the rear metal and drilling through the bolt and using a slightly smaller one and tighten it down with a nut.

Also its amazing how ****ty it runs with 1 shock missing lol. I drove it one day because I didn't feel like fixing it yet and it would get a bad vibration around 55mph, its gone now, and since they're all fixed and it was the first time on the highway, my ~65mph vibration has gotten less severe. New LCAB's should get rid of that hopefully, they're cracking and I can literally pick the rubber away with my nails.

I drove my jeep with two shocks missing. That was a fun 10 minute ride on only coil springs.

jeez pancake, i had all four of mine snap, sat down and thought for a minute(very pissed off) and went a different route....

instead of cutting holes in my floor, i used an air hammer and pounded those broken pieces out,

and then i fished 4 new bolts through the hole with some thread and a magnet! worked great for me! and NO holes in my freshly redone floor

got ALOT done last night/this morning.....(was at the shop from 9pm-7am)

if I had all 4 snap I'd probably go a different route too, but it was just one so now I have a 1" square cut out of my rear. Once we get the new carpet in you wont even be able to feel it because of the rubber backing and stuff, and I can probably get a small piece of foam or something to plug it up if I can feel it and it bugs me.

Oh yea, I'm going to the junkyard either today or tomorrow and pulling the brake booster off a 96 xj and doing the rear disc conversion from a 93-98 grand cherokee. The brakes on this car are a joke but I should be able to do a full disc conversion for ~$85
