a dblade

Hey fellow paintballers

i have recently purchased a new cocker and my original plan was to convert it to a eblade, but then i thought i wanted to do something different and after some thinking i thought why not put a DM frame and board on it and call it a dblade? now i am pretty sure i could make it fit but i'm new to cockers and DM's but i got access to alot of mackining tools so making it fit shouldn't be a problem, i was just wondering on how to make the board and all of that work properly (i am unfamiliar with pb electronics) and if i'll need and MQ valve and an eblade noid and if all of that will plug into a DM board and if it does will it work?
thnx alot

dye guns use 1 solenoid, cockers use 2

you need an eblade board.

...or at least a board with 2 solenoid control. The Eblade boards have been shaved a bit to fit DYE frames in the past, I've seen this conversion done several times.

Buy all the parts first, to see how they fit. Then, if you decide it's not going to work out for you, most of those parts are easy to sell.

The closed bolt universal board would work.

the dm frame used is called ultralight (UL or UL'ed) and this has been done before, to practically every type of gun.

i am sure you'll find the how-to somewhere in this forum

The UTB is just that, a Universal board. It will power both single and double noids.

Also, the UL frame isn't the only DYE frame, and certainly not the easiest to mod. A DM4/5/C or PM5 frame will actually be easier to do.

^ you have to mount the microswitch. and im pretty sure you have to solder a 2200 uf capacitor onto it to run an mq valve. if you ever need a UL frame i happen to have an extra pm5 one laying around that i dont need

leave it to uberPHAGE, hes the only one that cam stay on topic while putting a little subliminal BST in his post.

but yes, this has been done, on SEVERAL karnis, i think a few superstocks, and of course the merlin of doom. that one has a DM5 fierce frame from FBM i think.

Well, it's more like soldering it all together, but yes, that's basically how you make it work.

You don't have to use any eyes if you don't want too, it's really all in how you set up the gun. you just need to have the micro switch screwed into the frame to where the trigger would trip it if it was activated. Now that is if your frame already has screw holes to place a micro switch, if it doesn't then you need to make modify the frame to hold the micro switch in place.

well if you did want eyes how would you set those up? would you just make a groove from the trigger to the breech and put a cover over it?

you would need to modify the frame on each side so the wires wouldn't be pinched and then you would need some sort of covers for the eye's TX tuning has nice break beam eye covers for cockers or your could always try 2 eblade eye covers. For break beam you would need your eyes drilled different than the placement of a reflective eye. The break beams would need to be drilled at the bottom of the breach and towards the back near the bolt so the eyes see the ball when it hits the bottom of the breach.

The UTB Closed Bolt with 2 button and then you need to order the 2200 capacitor.
