We need someone to confirm this because when I was at Cousins Riverhead (Calverton) they restricted me to semi. No 3 round burst allowed.

I think it depends on who it is you're playing against but usually I see it's not allowed. That and full auto.

I worked for Cousins Paintball from 06 to 11 at their Coram field as well as been sponsored by them since 08. As a ref we would allow all mode except full auto however if we saw that it was an issue we would either ask the players to relax a bit on the trigger or to turn their gun to semi. However on a normal day where their was a good amount of people low and high tech all modes but full auto were allowed.

yea, i was pretty aggravated. I wanted to do the same thing. But i kept my cool. At one point it was so bad that i just stayed in and kept playing because when i tried to get up and walk off i got hit with a volley of paintballs, so i just said **** it and kept playing that round.

Well, at the staten island field they have orientation before the first game where the refs say all of the rules. I remember a few years ago back when i had my a5 they wouldnt even let me use 3 shot burst. And i distinctly remember them saying that there was no ramping or full auto. The rules could have changed from then to now, but thats what it used to be. And at the end of the day (this is last weekend) a ref talked to one of the kids who was ramping and said not to use that mode. But what use is it to tell them after the last game of the day?

Not sure what the status on it is right now, but when i was there 2 weeks ago, it wasnt set up. There was some nice green grass but no bunkers set up at all. Just an empty field. Kind of annoying since it was supposed to be setup by the end of august. I doubt they put it up yet, but you can message them on the cousins fb page.

All firing modes are allowed EXCEPT full-auto. As for the airball field, we are in the market for a new field but that's still a work in progress.

Thanks guys. I was there week ago and saw the green grass but no bunkers also. I hope they're up soon because SI is so close. Riverhead is too far so only other options are Jersey spots.

I live in NJ and Cousins SI is the closest woodsball field to me. It costs 10 bux just to enter SI from NJ + entry + a case of greasy empire custom blend paintballs is over 100 bux total for the day. As others have said, other fields around central jersey even with FPO, only costs around 75-90 for the same.
Please consider some way to allow BYOP, maybe a fee per day or per case of paintballs brought in or with yearly membership.
