EMR is like Crack, you go there once and your addicted. You start counting down the days till the next game (81 days till March Meltdown, 109 days till Spring Castle). It is sooooo much fun, and everyone there is like your new best friend.
Castle can be as intense as you want. If you want in your face paintball, you can storm the castle. If you want to take it easy, you can stay back a bit (although, this is a bit hard with Darth screaming at you with a bullhorn!)
I would suggest that you bring a mechanical marker as a backup. Sometimes there is this moisture stuff that falls from the sky (I got in trouble last year fro saying the r---- word). I spent most of Fall Castle worrying that my marker was going to fail because of the r---. It actually did temporally fail while up on the wall, so I had to walk back and get a mechanical marker
but there was no permanent damage.
Oh, and one more thing, be on the attacking side at Castle Conquest XXVII if you want to win!
