Lowered psp bps = Cocker come back?

I always loved cockers .... i used them in tourneys way back when then i got a matrix and it shot alot fast and etc.... now that the rof was lowered do u think more people will use cockers in tourneys again? Is there a cocker out there thats light, has low recoil (for running and gunning), and can compete with the matrix in xball format? Ide like to use a cocker if so..... so let me know which one sounds like the one right up my ally. Also it be good if it werent a ton of money bcuz im poor!

agreed, ebladed cockers were never at a disadvantage speedwise.

but yes, some of us still shoot a cocker in competitive play, i practiced all year for CFOA with a stock karnivor.

mq2 it then if you got to much bounce but in all honesty I don't notice the bounce with my karni or anything with a deleran bolt, the cockers with steel bolts now those I notice IE my 04 pro stock and trilogys. I don't do competition but am on a team that specializes in big games and all are using karni's and jeff orr and trust me people with ego's and all those 1500$ guns end up wondering how we beat them lol

I used my cocker in xball 15bps no less..

Only thing that held me back was being 40lbs over weight. :p

Cockers can be extremely light so I don't see a problem with weight... Even a full bodied Dc/nexus is still very light, though they are milled down a lot. Dunno why you wouldn't be able to run and gun with a cocker they don't really kick much at all unless you have the lpr jacked way up.

I have been thinking of making a slider frame cocker now since the bps has been changed.

I do think the main issue would be size/weight. I know when I switch over my Timmy it feels so much lighter it is not funny.

Ya, you could half block it and mill the crap out of it and spend $$$ to make it shoot like something that would cost you half the price... except my cocker shoots way more accurately than my timmy, even the ball flight through the air is different.

This was suggested many times when the PSP lowered the rof to 13.3bps.

Where was it written that Cockers are slow? Has anyone heard of this thing called the E-blade? Last time I checked, since the Eblade and Raceframe (Circa 2003ish), cockers have been able to shoot 20+bps - WAY faster than any reasonable field or tourney promoter would allow.

With the MQ, kick is all but eliminated, not that a well-tuned regular-valved cocker really needs much improvement.

Plus, with half/midblocking, they can be pretty damn light. Mine weighs about 2.5 pounds with a battery now that I halfblocked it. That's not significantly heavier than a new Ego, and pretty close to what a DM weighs.

My question is why haven't more people been using them all along???!!!

Can I see a picture of your trilly? I'm going to half my trilly-pump, and I want to see how it looks.

well fellas tell give me an idea of how much idea have to spend to get a cocker like that. i like the feel of a trixes but i like how cockers shoot. I havent even looked into cockers in years so im out of the loop. If anyone could list a setup and prices of a cocker that they think ide like and will be go with my playing style... i usually play front doritto but sumtimes snake side and im really aggressive. I tend to do alot of wrapping, and moving. Sorry if i sound retarded its just hard to explain with text and i really am out of the loop when it comes to cockers these days. When i played the only electro cocker was a nitro duck i believe and i heard awful things about them. Im sure its evolved alot now. Thanks guys!
