A friend of mine and I were discussing absinthe this evening actually...thinking about picking up a bottle in the next few days.
Wish it didn't cost as much as it does, but I think I will enjoy it.

I just picked up a 750 of Knob Creek. I've heard good things about it, so I figured hey, why not. I don't buy pricey liquor very often.

So the absinthe thing happened. Buddy picked up a bottle of Pernod and we sipped on some. Very interesting drink. Probably went with around 1 part absinthe to 3 parts water. No sugar.
I'm a big fan of anise, which easily dominated this (and I believe most) absinthe. Some other citrusy notes.
Was good.
