Well I am always at the field helping kids out, fixing their guns, or just helping them with how they play. I'm always lending out gear, in fact I think my gear is in about 6 different gear bags right now from lending out, but I don't mind. I talk about it with anyone who has an idea of paintball, even if it is a bit off. If they have never heard of it, I explain it the best I can.

I rather other people have fun than me, it sort of makes me feel good just to see them happy.

I use Canon, oh yes.

I try to make sure people have fun and leave happy when they play. That seems to spread the word the best.

I also do a little radio, TV, and print advertising. Right now we have a booth in one of the busier malls here promoting our field and paintball in general.

But making sure everyone has fun is by far the most effective way to make the sport grow.

I finally got my best friends to try it and come with me. Before now I've only had a couple friends willing to try it and go with me, now they're interested in doing leagues and the new friends plan on playing regularly. Oh yeah and I also don't censor myself. Yup.

Here's a question: What are you doing to help promote paintball?
Posting this stupid question on forums trying to act all holy like the sport needs saving. piss off.

Firefighters + paintball = Positive image, sorta.

EDIT: i guess i just go around and if i find someone talking negative about paintball i'll give them the statistics of injuries from paintball compared to any other sport. for instance, skaters. most of them think paintball is stupid and you can get injured from running around.

I bring (or at least try) my non paintballing buddies paintballing.
"You know... You know what I've noticed? Nobody panics when things go "according to plan." Even if the plan is horrifying! If, tomorrow, I tell the press that, like, a gang banger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it's all "part of the plan." But when I say that one little old mayor will die, well then everyone loses their minds! Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. I'm an agent of chaos."

Pretty much nothing. I play for enjoyment, and can only afford to play once in a while and only with my pump.

Promote paintball? Don't really. I wear pb casual attire like shorts, hoodies & t-shirts but that's about it. I only talk about paintball if someone asks.

Now SUPPORTing paintball, that's different. But we all do that, by buying paint & gear.

I help out the new guys with anything that they need help with from advice on equipment to how to have fun on the field. I give away a lot of free stuff to my fellow paintball players. Promoting the sport and making friends is more important than making a few measly bucks.

I try to bring as many new people to the field as possible. I try to help new players out at the field as much as possible. I discuss paintball with anyone willing to listen.

The posts you're talking about do not signal the demise of paintball. Paintball is not going anywhere, it just may not continue to be a game that you want to play. Those posts illustrate where we are as a society today, yet society still lumbers on. What makes paintball any different? What makes your second post different from all of the ones that you deemed as the harbinger of the demise of paintball? I'm not trying to flame you, but I see no difference.

Well lets see I support paintball by shooting cars going down the highway and big yellow school buses. and then when the cops come I paint there cars a different color. after that I will shoot all the road signs I see, and I'll shoot inoccent bystanders in town till they scream in pain. and I love shooting babymamas there funny . so then people will notice how cool paintball is and want to do the same. correct? . o yea **** paintball
