SEPS Poll: Change ROF to match PSP???

Just wanting some player and team feedback on the issue. Stay with 13.3? Change if PSP implements changes?

I think the original idea that the psp is the standard to which many regional leagues set their rules, whether they strictly adhere or partially, implies that the seps should probably consider conformity. We(this area) have in the past made the move from 15 and it does allow somewhat seamless transition to other venues. I expect that the cfoa will conform, but it may not. This should have some impact on the seps decision as psp and cfoa are probably the two series several team do consider participating in as previously mentioned.

The motives are somewhat unclear or at least more complex and industry driven than is made apparent. Whatever goals the change is aimed at achieving I cannot say, nor can I say that really applies at the seps. But if local venues don't conform, its just as reasonable to me that we move back to 15.

I just wish manufacturers would take the hint that things are ever changing and produce factory boards able to comply regardless of caps required.

The reason for the change is simple, to keep cost down and not to scare the new players off!

Lane Wright said the top 3 gun manufactures asked for the bps lowered. Also most stock boards, and aftermarket boards can do the new rof cap (10bps).

Another aspect to look at, if the industry changes the rof cap to a standard 10 bps, it may not be up to the league as to what they set theirs at. I say that because this is a series that has to go to fields, and the field's insurance covers the event. So if the field's insurance carrier says that 10 bps is all they will allow, then since the SEPS does not have it's own insurance carrier, you will have to do what the field's insurance says to do.

If it achieves those things, I'm down for it. If it makes insurance cheaper for fields or the sport safer and more inviting, I'm also down for it. Positive change is good change.

However, I have F8, Aura, G7, etc. that cannot be set low enough. While not mainstream or necessarily modern guns, and may be able to be flashed, its still annoying.

I say keep it at 13.3 and let's play paintball. Stop making everything so complicated for the players with all the new changes. 13.3 is a perfect speed in my opinion. It's not too fast (like 15) and not too slow (like 10). I mean, have you every shot a gun on 12 bps? I could walk through that, in my opinion. I don't see the point of it all, but ah well, I'm just one player...whatever.

Paintball is a very extreme and fast sport. And I dont know about you guys but I like the rush of shooting at and having people shoot back at me with 13 bps. And lets not forget that paintball is a luxury sport, you either have the money to play or you dont. And I do understand that we need to be consience about the cost, but if you want cheap paintball than buy a pump. Lets stick with 13bps. Andrew Conley (SKILLS THAT KILL)

I mean.....

oh dont act like you guys didnt do it too setting the activiation just a lilll too close to where the gun would bounce, taking out the trigger spring, and letting er' rip

...plus basicly anyone that used a WAS or predator board, save for Pal and his special tag board...

Only LEGALLY shoot 8-11 chris

I know I was pissed when they first came out with ramping not because of the speed of the gun in general, but because I had worked very hard at running and shooting with both hands at full speed while walking a trigger...

Every year this argument comes up..

God you mean we have ramping it will ruin the game....
God you mean we have to cap it at 15 bps...that will ruin the game....
God you mean we have to cap it at 13.3 bps...that will ruin the game...
God you mean we have to cap it at 10 bps...that will ruin the game...I mean geez I might have to move up the field and actually have skill now!!

We may put an open team together shooting cockers and pumps. It will be fun. I have been searching for a pristine orracle grey/black fade.

So many nicer cockers than the orracle man....

Freeflow, Evo, nexus, the old dye reflex, or even like a mark II, THOSE are what I would try to hunt down.
