spray and pry is never the way to go don't forget you have team mates that NEED you to hold lines, cross up the filed or something. Keep your goal in mind and do what needs to be done.
Backmen are important, if there were all front players, then the chance of the team surviving is slim, cause they cant see the whole field.

Also remember that even though you're playing "back" at an event, it's important to move up with your front players and be able to fill in for them if they get shot out. It's also important to be able to read who on the other team is shooting where, and to bump or run through to create an opening accordingly.

thanks for all the nice info (it helped a bit) but i have a little question/problem

im really dead set on charging up front but my physical make up is just no match for those little front enders. (260 40 waist buy as fast as anyone) any tip on using an aggressive(ie, being up front and fast) playing style that can help compensate. reason why im asking when i do play as my groups back, i just dont have that back player instinct. im really only good at getting my kills up front. Ive heard middle position is where im at, but im really just looking for a way to practice these skills and get better at both the back/ front but more back.

man its not always your body style im 6'0ft 165 lb kid and im fast i play back but this sport is serioulsy looking toward the slender person im not gonna lie for example the Philly americans lost one of the Best Backplayers Jason Trosen Becasue he was "A Big Guy" they said he was nt fast enouggh to make corners but really man play a corner and have fun with it cause then you can push up the feild but really you might get to the stage like my team where we have one big guy and the only place we can really put him is in the backcenter bunker .....Really Just have fun go where you feel your helping your team the most!

Great thread! You should add something about how to cover the snake and how to battle 1v1 or you vs. the rest of the other team.

delayed breakout. Usually works pretty good, come off the dead box gun mowing, and stand in the "shadow" of that bunker, shoot a good 10-12 seconds, wait for them to stop shooting and bump out.
another thing with the communication, keep saying it over and over until they repeat it back to you.
