How is the paint colors pasted onto the black and white paintball sprite? Is it within the engine, or is there another translucent image or sprite that is put over the pb.spr file? The reason I'm wondering is to customize 2 tone balls and to change grey and other hard to see colors to more visible colors.

The coloring is handled in the code.

....but you can take the pb sprite and just make it a neon green color and compile it back to original specs. It will look ugly in-game. But everybody will shoot neon green. Or whatever color you wish. Cant remember the last time I tried it. Do not remember if it left a black block around it or not.... All I remember is saying to myself eww ugly...and closed dpb.

Ahh, I didn't think of that, but then with the other transparent colors being put over them so I can see why it would be ugly. Unless there's a way to edit the code so it never colors the balls, but that might be a little too far. I've experimented with making paintball sprites with some of the sprite tools on BYOP, but I couldn't get the background to be transparent, so I was shooting blue squares with paintballs in them.
