The right approach after being reprimanded would be to walk into the pro shop and ask Geoff or Buski what the fields policy on dry firing in the parking lot is. The ref could have been doing exactly as he was trained to do.. and knowing Skeeter that's exactly what happened.

I asked Shauna the very first day I play, about early last year, she said it is ok as long as my barrel is off and my hooper is off.
The point is the head refs dont have a real set rule book on thing, outside the 5 min talk about the normal rules, it changes every time. Example My friend plays pistol and he talked to Shauna about a barrel plug she said it is ok as long as it is holstered. Well about a month later on of the head refs tell him that he needs a barrel cover, it doesnt really fit since the barrel doesnt really stick out, then we go there the next weekend and another head ref tells him to completely remove the barrel since it doesnt really fit.
We follow the head refs rules every time ,ask before do, but it changes with every head ref. Then the normal refs, the normal ones are cool, the one time refs are the worst since they think just cus their refs they know all.
