No, but at 10 bps, I don't really see an advantage to not changing both, if we were to change one.

Actually, one thing I am pushing PSP hard for if they drop to 10 is a mandated drop of balls-per-pull from 3 to 2. Still only need to pull 5 bps to get full-speed and 3 balls is pushing the limits of safety (almost a third of a second from when you release the trigger to when the gun stops shooting)

I agree Mike, the only problem I see is that if a less experienced player goes to a field to practice and the regulars, who may play PSP, are ramping at higher speeds, and they get thrown together, having the smaller leagues capped lower doesn't help that player have a good day. Maybe that would hurt retention of the player.

However, this isn't a problem of the league, but a problem of the fields and players. Lowering the rate of fire in all leagues may help that situation. But again, that problems might not be what the league is trying to correct, though retention means more business which helps the leagues. And, it works best if all leagues were the same, which is probably too much expect.

For whatever reason different leagues see fit to lower the rate of fire, I think a lower rate of fire just makes a different skill set valuable. I don't think any rate of fire decreases skills, or takes less skill. Different rates of fire just require different skill sets. Now which skill set is more important? Eh, I would pick the ones I'm best at ;-).

While I like the overall idea, it would be aweful hard to flash everyones board that quickly. I know it happened last year but I believe there was a little more time before the first event last year also. I know on my gun right now I can lower my bps to 10 but I'm not sure if I can only make it fire twice per trigger pull up to 10bps. Unless you use rebound mode, but that starts on the first trigger pull.

he's talking about doing it at nationals or 2010 i though, right? I would be to early to do it starting this year, plus the season has already started for the ncpa so that would be weird.

We'll never see eye to eye.

This has nothing to do with my team winning anything, in the past, present or future. That's completely irrelevant.

I'm probably the last person to start bragging about winning last year too... i mean for christ's sake look at my sig, nothing.

it should be about what is best for the league now and for the near future since things always seem to change
