I'm looking for a suggestion on a cheap cocker to turn into a pump. I know trilogys are cheap, I can pick one up for like $50-$75 and maybe another 30 for the pump kit.

My bet would be, find anything in that $50.00 price point and it will serve you well, and still give you an opertunity to upgrade if you want, later. Obviously, there would be some advantage to getting a marker already upgraded to a point for $50.00 if you can find one.
