You know you're old school when your pump gun has more "firepower" than everyone elses, because it has a vertical feed rather than horizontal, and it has a 7 oz. "constant-air" tank.

That is not old school by a long shot. Try again!!

Here's one;

You know you're old school when 9 bps was the fastest recorded string of shots on an Automag by Sandman from Team Swarm.

start a 2:43
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEcQw...eature=related

You know your old school when you actually own the original VHS tape of those videos.

Yup that is what it is. I would say your comments on the gun are pretty much spot on. I started playing paintball with this thing in the woods wearing shop goggles back at least 15 years ago. It was not the best gun by far but it sure was fun at the time.

- the first goggle you wore was a set of Uvex shop goggles, later followed by the original JT Spectra motorcross system
- When someone says 'Vents goggles', you think of the original Vents Predator goggles
- You remember when Dave Youngblood actually played paintball and made the cover of APG every other month...

.. and damn that pod's familiar! I'm going to have to pull out some old APG's and see if I can find it!

Lol, I remember CalMag in the 200-round boxes!

I remember when we used lengths of pvc pipe for stickfeeders, and seeing someone at Fields of Fury with a cut-down oil container holding his paint. I was pretty impressed.

My best friend still has his PMI-1 with a California constant air tank on it - the one with the garden-hose style gauge on it. I don't think we've tried to air it up since the mid-90's.

I remember when SC Village was Sat Cong Village. I traded Jessica Sparks my PMI-3 one game in return for her automag - she wanted to try out the new "black rain" air expansion chamber I had sent my marker to Air America to have installed. That was the day we played on the opposite side of Dave Youngblood - he was all decked out in his trademark 3-piece suit, lol.

My first mask was a JT Whippersnapper. I still have it, sans lens, lying around somewhere. And I still have a set of those Vents Predator goggles, too - the foam mask part is dog-eared and torn to hell, but I hate throwing away my old gear.

I miss those days.

you know your oldschool when your revy is completely made out of rubber

Vl power series

a sandrige cocker was your dream setup

you had to polish some part of your marker on a regular basis

you bought your mech cocker for $1000+

you actually had your cocker setup based on what position you played

you wanted "upgrade" nickel plated parts for your marker and didnt care about weight

sock hats and backwards hat

your first marker was a pump

then you bought a semi to keep up with the game

then you relized semi sucked and continue to use a pump to this day

you've relized that the dropforward youve been playing with all these years gives you terrible posture

.... but a huge drop on a cocker just feels soooooo right

Recollections of I believe Crossman markers - 10 shot, 12 gram - felt like you were carrying a brick around.
Shop goggles.
Red fill in the paint and carrying more 12 gram carts than paint during a game 'cause you went through more CO2 than paint and it was cheaper than the paint too!!!
Oh, and when you bought your paint, it was already in the 10 round tubes! That's how we bought it - by the "10" count. Well at the field I played at anyways LOL

Wasn't that one of those pods that was supposed to silence the sound of balls shaking around if you didn't fill the pod all the way?
