Old School

You know you are old school when you can name the gentleman in this photo:

I am happy I got to sit and chat with him and have a beer.

i'm not as oldschool as some of you, but i'm way more oldschool than my friends.
i remember when autocockers were cool, people shot classic timmys, and i would see supernovas from time to time. i shot a warp fed minimag for a while.

my first day playing with my own gun robin williams happened to be there, and we balled it up. i was a noob at the time, but i'm pretty sure he had a mech dye cocker. i think it might have even been blue to silver fade, maybe orange to silver.

So you think youre old school because you remember when the shoebox Shockers came out? Or the Mags vs. Cocker debate? Lol.

Whilst going through a box of old memories and papers from school and my childhood I came across this. Its suspension paperwork from my Jr. year in high school c.a. 1989. I had thrown my marker in my book bag so I could play a little woodsball after school at my friends house. Never got that far though. About midday I got pulled and was pretty much treated like I had a frigging bomb. Parents didnt get real bent and it was short lived. But the real kicker? The suspension was for the last week of the school year. As in, during exams. I spent the first week of Summer break taking the exams I missed.

Edit: the aforementioned marker was a Piranha LB with the classic PVC hopper. So there ya go, documented proof of 20 years in the sport! :p

Im not that old skewl, just that I remember buying indian creek hoppers because we were tired of pushing one ball at a time in the 50 rd hoppers. And 9v/12v revy's didnt exsist, and when they did exisit, we thought 8bps was crazy fast and never thought a gun can ever out shoot a 11bps hopper!

I still have a few of the metal paint tubes that held that nasty Nelson oil-base paint I started with. It smelled, stained permanently unless you used kerosene right away on your clothes, and cost around $2 for a tube of 10 paintballs.

Augh, and how about that paint? That crap did not wash out. At least everyone was shooting the same junk though.

It had a piece of hard wire around the opening of where the pod went in and the wire snapped over the little bumps on the pod and kept it from falling out of the pack, no velcro flap or elastic needed. It was kinda a neat idea back in the day, my brother actually still has the one he bought about 10 years ago.

Dont feel too bad about not knowing because I cant even find a picture of the pod pack.
I thought the bumps where for her pleasure.
