. . .

So that is why children in the USA fail at math. They're too busy writing papers about it instead of studying various topics.

discrete math is pretty much a joke class for seniors. We get to watch an episode from that numbers show, or play math related games (card games, etc...) every friday.

im also taking ap calculus, which isn't going to well, haha. Not because i dont understand it or anything, more so just because i dont do my homework, and therefore can't do problems on the test that we havent gone over in class.

Senior year I flipped out over my calculus final and was convinced I was going to fail it. Didn't study at all and got a F on the thing, passed the class with a C.

Only time I ever freaked over a test. Whatever. I had plenty of fun taking calc 1,2,and 3 in college.

****, I was a senior four years ago. I'm working my third year as a freshman and between high school and college I have taking precalculus five times and college algebra once at the University. I'm not going anywhere for awhile... Bobide filled my hopes with a bowl of fail

My inability to comprehend this post must prove the lack of education that you're saying (i think) you have.

EDIT: wait you're in your 3rd year at college and are still a freshman?

Yep. Good news though! I recently got my Bright Futures back! So next semester is free and the state is cutting me a $1000 check.

Question for the smarties. Do I need trig before calculus?

Yes you damn well do. If only to understand how you can perform various trig substitutions. Not to mention polar coordinates.

Honors pre-cal/trig is borderline raping me right now.

I have until...Wednesday or so to memorize all the **** I've forgotten over the past few months. Understanding and applying radians in physics is nice though.

I've got to remember everything by Monday. Still need to sign up for classes. I've waited to the last minute to do so. Class selection will be poor. So trig it is. They recently changed it to a full credit course so I only have to take 4 classes instead of 5.
