Have you been to a PGA TOUR event?
Im going tomy first PGA tour event- the buick open this weekend. I have general admission tickets so i can attend any day i wish.
Anybody here been to one? I dont know what to expect, what to bring, what i cant bring.
Any tips or pointers would be cool

I went to the US Open in 1998. I would give you some advice, but I was only 8 at the time.

Last year of the Buick open too. I have never been to one, but it seems its best to arrive early and find a good hole to sit at all day. If you aren't going to be on the green or the tee, bring a folding chair and do some research on where most players are hitting to. Bring a cooler bag with food and drinks obviously. If you are on a green, bring a sharpie pen and some balls in case someone does some signing.
I don't really see the appeal in going to an event, I'd much rather watch everything from home.

i went to the us open this year.
it was cool cuz we had tickets to a tent that gave us free food and open bar.
and for the start of the last round on sunday night, we sat at the third hole and our bleachers had a "we want the ball" chant going. all 6-7 groups that came through, threw the ball into the crowd.

I went to the U.S. Open this year. It's pretty cool seeing all the players in person because the T.V. makes them seem larger than life, but in reality they're just normal guys.
That being said, I recommend going on Saturday and watching the final round on your T.V. Being there is cool and all, but you miss ALOT of what's going on.

QFT. Being there on Sunday was great, but I'm so glad I didn't go to the Masters this year, I would've missed the whole Tiger-Phil surge, Kenny Perry's run and collapse, etc. It's nice to see all the storylines come together on the last day.
