They'll check when you don't buy paint in the pro shop, and refs will check if they notice a difference in whats being shot.
AKA don't try to sneak in paint.

I am there every weekend. Yeah some of the refs are not that great, but thats only the new ones. The ones that play are really good and know what to look for and such. Much better than the ones out at SC, they never really know whats going on when I am out there. And if you think about it the paint isnt all that bad of a price. They have to make some money too.

This field is horrible.
The prices suck, the ref's hate their job (and it shows), and the fields are just plain stupid. They didnt even open the air ball field on the friday that i went so i was stuck in the scenario fields.
Don't waste your time driving through LA traffic for this place. 1 out of 5 stars.

I didn't have such a bad time at this place my first time. however after trying other fields around this place is just filthy. Also the paint they sell is horrid so when other players use it, it gets all over your gear and doesn't wash off.....
Also they're making a habit now of spam calling people under the premise that you "won a contest"

I've had lots of good times here...but that may just be because I know a lot of the regulars and some refs.

I live like 10 mins away.
Experiences are up and down depending on the day. Sometimes games can get crowded and at most times they are understaffed because of private groups. Paint prices are a bit steep depending on quality, so lower grade paint is somewhat resonable.

This is the first and one of the only places ive been going to. I went to california pantball park was also Great.
I have no problems with the refs. Most of them are really friendly.
Prices are a bit high but its understandable this place is more of an amusement park!Regulars are all great people Ran into few teams all very helpfull and friendly.
I think if your not a friendly person than people wont be with you!
There is alot of sore loosers though
I play pump so its kinda upsetting when i have a guy shooting 15 bps at me missing i hit him with one ball and he WIPES!! But ill just keep hitting him till he has no choice or a ref comes by.
I havent been playing for long mabey 2 months but i have a blast there all the time!

theres up days and down days at this park. the regulars are all really chill people. and sometimes theres no a holes sometimes its a hole central. and sometimes you get good refs, sometimes its all noob refs. the fields are varied enough to keep things interesting. the mini scenarios are fun if youre really into that, or good for a laugh and a bit of fun if you dont take it too seriously. as a former pump player, i can tell you that this park is great for pump players. the thing it really lacks in is speedball. there is a decent turf field but its not open for walk ons (private groups and teams that are practicing and special park events, like bears cup). and its currently maintained by people who play on it, and we cant do much more than the bare minimum to keep it in working order. theres also a dirt hyperball field (with the corrugated pipe bunkers) and if you dont mind risking injury, its pretty fun too. the price is on the higher side when compared to SC, but considering HSP is open for an additional 6 hours over SC, it kinda makes sense too. and yea its house paint only (except on fridays, and i think wednesdays now for recon wednesday, and most holidays) with a case of their evil coming out to $54, and evil everywhere is about $54 so you really cant complain about that.

I thought it would be a good idea to update this thread for anyone’s curiosity.
The bottom line on HSP is that if you’re looking to have a good time at a great facility this is it.
The customer service really is terrible. I’m sorry, but it just is and I’m pretty easy going.
I’ve noticed lately though that the refs are getting much better at checking things.
There are hopper and FPS checks to make sure that one is not running hot, or using outside paint. There are amnesty days where you can bring your own paint however.
