Friendly field, pretty good variety, mixed group of rentals and regulars, but overall a fun place for woodsball.

Forestfire is a great place.
Ezra is the owner, and Brian is a huge help in taking care of the place. I, Ben, am a ref and often player at forestfire.

It is a good feild, often a mix of rentals and regulars as stated above. The feild is undergoing some slight changes overtime. Not alot, but if anyone is willing to help, you could be up at 9:30 this weekend to help set up a few bunkers. It is nothing much, just me and a couple of guys do a little bit of changing before the day starts. If you guys have any peices of plywood you don't want bring it on down

Dress warm, put on some thermals, forestfire is good in the snow. I played when it was 10in deep, a rare opportunity, and a fun one.

The turnout now has been 25-40 people, but grows as spring and summer progresses. You can often find details of different scenarios or special prize games on forestfirepb.com.

I hope to see some people out this weekend!

Haven't been to FFPB yet, but they seem to be pretty close to me, 30 mile drive and about 45 minutes away. Anyone still active on PBN that goes to FF?

Yep, I play and ref there. The field is great and Ezra runs it well. The field isn't huge, but is adequate for the amount of players they draw. D-day is their big game. It draws about 200 players and is ROCKIN'! Come join us for a great time!

What's the turnout like, in terms of

(a) number of players
(b) walk-ons vs. rentals
(c) local teams

I'm only in my second year of paintballing, started out at PSP playing a mix of speedball & recball. Lately been hanging out at Operation Paintball, which I've quite enjoyed. However, I'd like to find fields closer to home (Lake Forest Park) that doesn't require a 90-minute drive one-way. Unfortunately, living in King County kinda makes that somewhat unavoidable.

I'd say that the number of players depends on the weather since it's an outdoor field. Usually, it's around 30-40 players. There are more walk ons than rentals. I'd say usually by 2 or 3 to 1. I could be wrong about that but that is my conservative estimate. As far as local teams, I've seen the Shattered Angels there, NW Stryker Alliance, Gang Green, DBS, etc. It just depends on the day.

On a nice day there can be more than 60. Weather has never really been an issue at this field as it always seems to be rain free. They also have a neat covered area for staging for the bad days they do have.

I didn't know you were a regular there! We've probably been shooting at each other all this time and never knew it. ;-) I've been away for a while but I hope to be back at FF more often now!

I went out there Saturday with some friends and had a good time. Large wooded field, very friendly staff, good people. Really had some fun.

I'll give FF a shot (pun?) this coming weekend, rain or shine - hopefully no rain, but now that "Summer" is over, that might be wishful thinking. :p
