Halo: First Contact
It is the year 2024. Harvest is a peaceful, prosperous farming colony on the outskirts of human controlled space. But humans have trespassed on holy ground - strayed into the path of an aggressive alien empire known as The Covenant. In their quest for ancient relics left behind by a race known as the Forerunners, nothing will stand in their way. Now the survival of Harvest falls into the hands of a squad of battle weary UNSC marines and inexperienced colonial militia trainees.

0930 Harvestís Botanical Gardens
Covenant leaders have made for peaceful talks with the political and military leaders of Harvest. The talks were only a distraction while the rest of their forces search for alien relics. The infiltration squad is discovered and fighting breaks out, the first member of the colonial militia is killed.
UNSC: Defend the Botanical Gardens and prevent the Covenant from gaining a foothold on Harvest.
Covenant: Raze the Botanical Gardens and eliminate all resistance.
A slow evacuation process has started. The small city of Gladsheim is the furthest city from Harvestís capital of Utgard. The covenant has decided to attack and destroy the smaller city first, forcing all humans to the capital.
UNSC: Defend and escort the evacuees to the transports.
Covenant: Eradicate the evacuees and their defenses.
1130 Utgard (capital city)
Any surviving humans are crowded in the capital city of Utgard, the location of Harvestsí 7 space elevators, normally used for hauling crops to ships waiting in orbit, their cargo today will be far more precious. 2 elevators are secure and running, the other 5 are still in peril of falling, if they do, countless numbers of civilians will not make it off the surface.
UNSC: Defend the Space elevator connections at all costs.
Covenant: Sabotage and destroy as many elevators as possible.
A last parlay is attempted between the covenant and humans, in reality a delay and attempt to cripple the covenants main ship and buy time for civilians to escape. The ship has taken the bait and come to the surface to negotiate. Only by crippling the ship will the UNSC have time to evacuate all civilians.
UNSC: Attack and cripple the enemy ship.
Covenant: Fend off the attack and escape the attack.
1430 The Tiara
The Tiara, a marvel of human engineering, the massive orbital docking station connected to all space elevators has been boarded by an advance scouting party, all Covenant forces must be destroyed and the human AI must be rescued from this system before evacuation can complete.
UNSC: Eliminate opposition, rescue the AI construct known as SIF.
Covenant: Find and capture the AI construct known as SIF, stay alive.
Some humans have been left behind, orbital cargo freights are streaking up the elevators to awaiting propulsion pods, able to send the evacuees on to friendly planets in other systems. The destruction of the planet has started, an orbital bombardment by additional warships that have recently appeared in system. Survival time is measured in hours and minutes for anyone left on surface.
UNSC: Survive as long as possible, take covenant drop zones, prevent covenant ground forces from evacuating and condemn them to death by their own forces.
Covenant: Escape the dying planet, hold dropship lines for one hour.
