Damon Williams T-board, thoughts?

I found some reviews online, but don't know anyone who has used this board. Aside from there not being a display, any personal experiences with this board? According to their site it's only $20.00, so either it wasn't popular or it's bad quality.

i had one in my old cocker

i didn't have any problems with it. I honestly don't believe it was much of a step up from the zero b/1.2 board though besides being uncapped...

I can say for certain that if you have a working cocker that shoots just fine you are one of the three, or all of the above. 1- you are not an idiot. 2- you know someone who is not an idiot. 3- you have enough money to pay someone who is not an idiot. - jonotwist

The Eblade T-board did.

The Closed Bolt Universal T-Board DOES NOT HAVE ISSUES.

Check my sig for further proof, and hopefully this weekend I'll have a vid with better paint fit/camera work.

i didn't really do much looking, i just assumed the UTB would be worth more than $20 assuming it works so that's pretty much what i meant

How is their customer support? I sent Damon some emails and he responded somewhat quickly, and also assured me that the new firm ware for the eblade t-board was working and they were not getting complaints about it. For $20 I might just get the board, comes with life time upgrades so if it doesn't work, maybe some day it will.

His support is great. I had an old dragun drallion frame sitting around with a tboard in it. didn't shoot it because the old coding for closed bolt guns was messed up a bit. Shot him an email yesterday evening asking if there was an upgrade to the new coding for it so I could toy around with the old frame, and he sent me a chip with the new programming for free. When it gets here i'll be able to use this old frame on a junker cocker.

I would highly recommend that anyone consider the UTB rather than E-blade T-board, even if the E-blade version has been re-coded, because you can fit the UTB in any frame you want. It's $55, plus a big of soldering, and VERY versatile. Just speaking my experience.

I had a UTB, it works very well. My only gripe was lack of eye sensitivity adjustments. If I have an eblade/worrblade frame, id get the Eblade Tboard w/ updated code so you dont have to worry about soldering and membrane pads dieing, and etc...

Any other frame, UTB ftw!

Not if you HATE opto-switches, and love 90* frames.

thats why you solder mico-switch onto the recieving end of the board and jump the optical sensor side to put it in a UL frame.

Bumping for question.

I'm thinking of building an absolutely no-nonsense e 'cocker. Just as basic as you can get it. I'm talking stock WGP body (well, maybe a little nonsense, as I'd like to get it half-blocked) E1, etc.

However, I hate dealing with batteries, and the 1.5 cases off an E1's battery is simply not enough, so I was probably gonna replace the board. What I want to know is this: I only want to use semi, as I've got no real use for ramping, etc. I was wondering if the E-Blade T-Board was a good semi-only replacement, and how much more battery-efficient it is. I assume since it doesn't have to support an LCD screen and the like, it should be pretty good...

I know the T-Board used to have eye-logic problems, but I heard that was with the modes other than semi.

Thanks for your input.

Edit: Looking at Damon's site, this was on the "plus" features of the E-Blade T-Board: "Faulty eye detection." At least he's honest. I can respect that. I'd just like to know if this was a ramping issue, or if it's an all-modes thing.

Edit 2: Oh yeah. They support break beam. Hm. If the eye logic problem is only on ramping modes, then I may have found me a board.
