Frequently Asked Questions About the TPA Cup
1) Do you have shelters? Yes, there are some shelters and tents for player to use, but with the large turnouts our shelter space is limited. You are welcome to bring your own pop up tents.

2) Do you provide tables? Yes, but with large turnouts our tables are limited. You are welcome to bring your own folding tables.

3) Do you sell food? Yes, we sell hotdogs, chips, drinks, and other prepackaged snacks. You are welcome to pack a lunch if you like.

4) Do you have rest rooms? Yes, we have port-a-potties available for everyone to use.

5) Do you provide rags to clean up with? NO, it’s your responsibility to bring your own paper towels or rags to clean up with.

6) Do you provide trash bags to put dirty or wet clothes in? NO, it’s your responsibility to bring your own bags to put your dirty or wet clothes/uniforms in.

7) When do we get our prizes? Most prizes are collected the day of the event. However if we do not have something in stock we will order it for you. You can pick up the items at the field or make arrangements pick them up in the Akron/Canton area. You are also welcome to pick them up at the next event or at the next team practice prior to the next event. If you would like the items shipped to your captain’s house you will be responsible for all shipping and handling costs.

8) When is entry payment due? ALL entry fee payments are due 10 DAYS prior to the event date.

9) If we can’t make the event do we get our entry fee back? NO, we have a 3 day cancellation policy. If you cancel 3 days before the event we will refund or credit your entry fee toward the next event. Please call us and let us know if you are short a player or two we will do our best to find a player to fill that event for you. We have found players for almost every team that has come up short players. Many of the time these are ONLY guest players and are not permanent players that can be added to your roster each event. If you are looking for a player to play the season with you contact us PRIOR to the start of the season. There are always “FREE AGENTS” looking for teams. Please check the paintball forums for a list.

10) Do you provide trash cans? Yes, please use them!!! Please break down all boxes and set BESIDE trash cans. PLEASE clean up EVERYTHING in your own staging/parking areas (This includes but NOT limited to… paint boxes, batteries, water bottles, bottle caps, pop cans, paper towels, cups, etc…) If players cannot clean up their own staging/parking areas then we will be forced to RAISE entry fees to cover extra costs to cover cleanup crews. Paintballs are the ONLY exception to this rule.

11) Are we allowed to take pictures and videos? You are welcome to take pictures and videos outside the net. Some exceptions maybe made. Contact MIKE Gilbert 330-823-9692 for more info. We will have Patrick Mitchell from Breakoutphotos.com at most of our events. We ask that you try to make a donation to help cover his time and gas. They are more likely to get pictures and videos online more quickly if they’re getting paid to do it.

12) Do you rent markers, masks, packs, loaders, jerseys, or compressed air tanks? Yes, prices will range for $5-$25 and a valid drivers license or credit card will be held till the rented items are returned. ANY damage to these items is to be paid for by the person who rented it.

13) Is all day CO2 or Air included in tournament entry fees? YES

14) How many players can we roster on a 3 man team? You are able to roster 5 players on a 3 man roster.

15) How many players can we roster on a 5 man team? You are able to roster 9 players on a 5 man roster.

16) How many cases of paint will I shoot? That depends on how well you do and how aggressive you play. Most aggressive 3 man teams use 4-5 cases per event. Most aggressive 5 man teams use 7-9 cases per event. Teams that don’t move or play more defense and just shoot their markers or spend lots of time setting their equipment up will shoot quite a bit more.

17) Can we bring our own paint? NO!!! TPA events are FIELD PAINT ONLY!!! If one paintball not bought at the TPA the day of the event is shot on the field your team will be disqualified for that event. All event prizes and event series points will be lost also. You may bring paint to set up or test your equipment be BE VERY CAREFULL that NO OUTSIDE paint is brought out onto the field because you will be disqualified for doing so.

18) Do you buy back any unopened or unused paint? NO, sorry. Only buy what you need.

19) Are we allowed to use paint left over from a previous event? NO, shells and fills change each event. Even if you use the same shell or fill the batch is different and you are NOT permitted to use it. Anyone caught using paint from a previous event may be disqualified and forfeit all event prizes and event series points.

20) Do you take credit card? Yes we accept VISA or MATERCARD ONLY!!! The card must be in your name!!! Please do not bring in mom or dads credit card because you will be turned away, sorry. We prefer cash so we can continue to keep costs low. Each credit card costs TPA around 3% and this will eventually be passed on to you the customer if a majority of the customers continue to use credit cards.

21) Do you accept checks? Yes, but you must have a drivers license and the check must be in YOUR name. Please do not bring mom or dads check to the field because you will be turned way.

22) Can I wear shorts or a short sleeved T-shirt? NO, your outer layer MUST be long sleeved or pants.

23) Can I have pink or orange equipment, stickers or uniforms? NO, tournament paint is usually pink or orange so you are NOT allowed to have anything of that color on the field. If you have equipment that is pink or orange then you may be asked to cover it or use something else of a different color.

24) Do you have to pay to watch? NO, spectators are welcome and encouraged to watch behind the net in approved viewing areas.

25) Can I use a barrel plug, squeegies or take my barrel off instead of an approved barrel sock? Absolutely NOT!!! Penalties will be handed out to those who do not follow this rule!!! It’s for everyone’s safety that this rule is NOT broke!!!

26) Is seating available? Yes but do the LARGE turn outs at TPA tournaments we recommend you bring your our chair.

27) Is there a lunch break? We usually have a 30+ min lunch break mid day. If for some reason we run fast or have a small turn out then we do not break and try to wrap things up early.

28) What time does the field open? Field opens at 6:30am most events and registration opens around 7am.

29) Can we practice on the field prior to the event? We usually use the most recent PSP layout and they usually come out 3 weeks prior to the next PSP event. Teams are welcome to schedule team practices at TPA prior to the events. Please contact Mike Gilbert 330-823-9692 for more info.

No we will not use the AXBL layout. What will the layout be? Hummm... Possibly Chicago, possibly MAO. If we don't use MAO for this event, we will use it at a later one, possibly the 3rd one.

Yes we will hold practice on the 9th and possbily 10th, pending how the D3 division works out. I will know by the middle of the week. We may just run an AYCS practice on the 10th unless the team get on their horses and register. Teams said if I built the D3 divison that they would come. We will see....

Who else wants an AYCS on May 10th? $60 and ALL THE PAINT YOU CAN SHOOT FOR 4HRS (POSSIBLY LONGER PENDING THE AMOUNT OF TEAMS THAT SHOW).

The more teams that come the longer we will run, do don't let 4hrs scare you off. I only came up with 4hrs so if only a couple teams show I can limit my loses. Last time, people left before the 4hrs were over because they were so tired for the amount of paintball they played in that amount of time. We run things fast!!!! We started with 47 cases poded and ready to shoot and loaded another 23 cases. By end of the day we shot 70 cases in 4hrs and never had to stop play to load pods. You have no idea how teams/players will benifit from this. TPA teams have done this in the past for private practices and it has been proven to work. You don't need a team to come and enjoy the AYCS just show up and we'll find you a team to play on for the day.
