Barrel threading

I'm wondering, is there anyone that does this as a service? like thread a body to take a certain threading if its been damaged or something? Or simply cut?

I bet most machine shops would if they had the tap else a qualified airsmith would.

how is the thread damaged?

any machine shop with a lathe should be able to do it. Hell, depending on what's wrong with it, I could do it in my basement.
