I'm wondering, is there anyone that does this as a service? like thread a body to take a certain threading if its been damaged or something? Or simply cut?

any machine shop with a lathe should be able to do it. Hell, depending on what's wrong with it, I could do it in my basement.

do they like add material to it? cuz if the threads are damaged wouldnt they have to remove them?

they clean them up they'll still work fine but some material will come off.
