Just because one year there is a rise in attendance, doesn't mean they are doing well. No one knows how much debt the PSP may be in. It all comes down to their debt and how much money they make per year. Just because the NPPL may be out, it would be prime time for PSP to jack some prices up, to help get some of that debt they may have off.

Guess we will just have to wait.

You stated "Paint Company’s, Marker Company’s, Supply Companies". You recognize the lack of a monopoly by directly making the word "company" plural. If there was a monopoly, then there would be only one company with multiple brands.

Paint: RPS/KEE, Nelson, etc.: No monopoly
Marker: MacDev, Smart Parts, Dye, Bob Long, etc.: No monopoly
Supply: KEE Action, American Paintball Supply, etc.: No Monopoly

I fail to locate any such monopoly within the given sectors of the industry. While there may be one dominant company in a given sector, that does not necessarily make it a monopoly.

Maybe one or two more events but I cant see a full on 10 and the only thing I can say about this is D1 psp paintball is about to get crazzzzyyyy.
i think they could do 10 events 5 for psp and 5 for 7 man and u have to remember some teams went to all ten events last year

this sucks its not that i play nppl but anything that hurts our sports growing sucks. but it do believe that this can help make the psp grow and have much larger events, which can be good or bad, it depends on how you see it.

The consensus has generally been that the US can't currently support ten events. If the PSP up it to seven that'll be a big step.

I hope to see the rise of a new style of tournment paintball becuase i dont like xball. It simply turns the tournment player into robots.

I hope a 5man system will appear on top with only 3 quality events a year , imagine if every tournment was like HB or Worldcup/ Quality over quantity

Should.

Averages say it should. If it follows the previous 'long' recessions, then it will last around 17 months. Around where you're talking about.

I wouldn't put any bets on it though.

Wow you are so wrong. I have played both series and have placed several times in both leagues. Xball shows the true skill a player and teams have. You have to change your strategy after every point and only have 2 minutes to do so instead of an hour. You have to be physically conditioned. You have to be able to block out any outside distractions and noise of spectators. You have to be able to be fast and come up with creative ways of getting out wide instead of walking to a corner like nppl. The list goes on and on of what skills xball demands that 7 man doesn't. Xball is what paintball needs to be considered a sport.

I wouldn't even bother, I would assume most of the close minded people haven't played tournament Xball. Neither have I outside of just local practices, but I am not retarded.

[nerd] You're right, that would be an oligopoly, since it's an industry dominated by a few large, concentrated firms who have significant price control over products in the market.[/nerd]

All of those aspects of the game are predetermined by a coach/teamleader. individual skill and decision making are completly taken out of the game. You have someone telling you when to shoot, where to shoot, when to move, how to move. xball is way mored controlled everyone is shooting 13bps and a coach telling them what to do it takes all the surprises out of the game too
