SLG help!
Hi everyone. New to these electros. I was wondering what all you SLG owners, present and past, think about this trade. I can get an 08 (I think) Olive SLG, Halo, 45/3000 tank and cover, and some other stuff FOR my e-gripped X7 and remote line. I know the SLG isnt the top of the line gun, just an entry, but what do you guys think? I mean, Im almost getting a full setup for just my gun and remote line. And I only payed $250 for the X7! I dont play speedball, only woods, so I would just like to know everyones input.
Thanks a lot!

well from what you payed for your x7, just 08 slg's are going for $199.00, so for the gun and setup, sounds like a good deal to me, also depends on what condition the gun is in, and if the tank is still good, and doesn't need to be re hydro, but other than that sounds like a great deal, plus for woods there not that bad of a gun, they can shoot fast, and not that bad on the accurate side.

The SLG is a good gun but I'd go with what you like. It sounds like you are more of a mil sim guy and an SLG is far from that.

I know the SLG is far from mil-sim. But I mean, Im getting almost everything but a new mask out of it. New gun, tank, hopper, it just sounds good to me, but Im not totally convinced.

to be honest, I'd stick with the X-7 if you're playing woodsball. The SLG won't run on Co2 but the X-7 will. You already have an e-trigger and the cyclone feed will keep up with it, so why trade if you're not gonna play speedball?
The only advantage I can see by trading to an SLG is a smaller gun. By not playing speedball it doesn't really make sense to me to swap.

yeah just go with what feels best, cause going from what you have to an slg, its going to be a whole different feel.

dude you seem difficult lol. Ok heres what you do, decide speedball or xball, then decide if you want whats gonna suit you better. yes slg is good but in woods, idk. I personally think you can use an elec gun in woods easy. Look at the Ego army(So cool and I love Dye) but anyway, The setup kinda doesnt matter unless your shooting alot of balls.

For what it's worth, I use an 08 SLG in more woods than speedball b/c thats what my familly plays when we go out. Never had an issue I couldn't fix onsite and I can generally outshoot them in uncapped semi (A5 has a small trigger well opeming that make it hard to walk). I went with the SLG b/c it gives me the versitility to play both games, not just being stuck in the woods with a mil-sim.
I say go for it, the X7 isn't really modded out other than the E-Grip, there's really nothing to lose.

Or I could get a PMR and 1 of 99 Ion (both need boards), Dye i3s with mirror lense, and $20 to buy a board.

If you are the one that's going to spend the money, the one asking for advice and can't make up his mind after about 20 posts. Please don't waste our time... We've supplied you with enough advice for anyone to make their own mind.
If you have money spend it! Get 2 guns! Hell even plays with them both!
Just be responsible and do what you feel is right. Don't wait for other people to your work for you.
Are you like that on the filed? Hope not!...
