I read somewhere that when new upgrades come out for the hybrid that powerlyte will upgrade for free...is this true?

If you bought at Hybrid at World Cup 2002 then you may get the upgrades, but any Hybrids made after World Cup 2002 already have the upgrades installed on the marker.
