Losi PLASTIC shocks SUCK. Ive never had issues with them on my LST2, MF2 (2 of em), Mini LST, and my MRC with Mini LST shocks on it. My MRC may as well not had any oil in them when they shipped, the truck would have been a lot cleaner when I pulled it out of the box!

Made some upgrades and modifications to my crawler since the last time i posted up pics... enjoy

-bender swx chassis
-hs-5645 servo
-losi 4" shocks
-bender rear 4 link plate
-stnc front 4 link plate
-novak rooster crawler esc
-dx3.0
-mip drive shafts
-axial aluminum c-hubs
-venom steering knuckles
-proline flat irons in front and bad land tires in back
-integy 55 turn motor
-my own custom BTA steering mod.

I got a proline helios body so that the ugly rtr body could go away...

I installed deans plugs on my battery/esc and motor cringing while i snipped my warrenty away...

I installed a four link plate front and back and through some mip drive shafts on there also...

Now i got some good articulation...

Something i worked on for 2 hours one night was a home made BTA steering set up, hasnt cost me a cent to do it except for a few things i already had like a tubing bender, and axials aluminum adjustable c-hubs...

I wish i had better pics but i didnt even think of taking picks when i was making it and its hard to position a camera to see it better, but here is what im getting for steering...

I am getting about 2.5" of ground clearence but i think i will be going full drop once i have a chance to try my steering on the rocks...

and you didn't ruin your warranty on the rooster crawler. as long as it is a well done job, if there is a problem with the ESC they will still warranty it.

the cr-01 is good. i haven't been into crawling since the end of last summer so i haven't seen the axial scale crawler in person.

well, picked up the Axial AX10 kit today

came pre-built from the original owner and came with:
2 Spektrum high-torque servos...gonna ditch them for some nice JR's in the future.
4 wheel steering, gonna ditch this ASAP, not legal in 2.2 comps.
JR XR3i radio, gonna ditch this for a nice Spektrum.
Pro-Line MOAB tires with some ****ty wheels, got Pro-Line 2.2 Beadlocks
Didn't come with an ESC so i picked up a cheap Dynamite Tazer 15T ESC, gonna get a Rooster when i get better.
Also came with an Integy 55t motor, i heard it's pretty decent.

I would suggest a good handwound 35t-55t motor if you plan on doing comps. the slow speed control on the premium handwounds is astonishing.

I'd also look at a Castle Creations Sidewinder ESC over the rooster crawler. you have much more adjustablility with the CC over the rooster.

Well i built up a new crawler recently and put the old axial away for the time being...

Its set up on enroute berg axles, and a dna mantis chassis
The specs go as follows:
Berg Axles
DNA Mantis chassis
DNA assasins berg offset wheels
HPI rock grabber tires
hitec 7955tg servo
Mamba max esc
rat shack micro switches with a hitec mini servo
castle creations bec
flight power 1350 mah 11.1v lipo
2 tmaxx shocks
Integy 55 turn motors

The motors are weak so i will have pick up some holmes hobbies motors, so the drag break will hold a bit better, this thing crawls incredible though. Better than my axial, also no torque twist. The chassis is semi torsion in other words the chassis is half of the flex, however it is a little for solid than i like but with two shocks up front it still doesnt do to bad on the rocks.

Any questions and comments are welcome.

anyone know a good way of getting these MOABS on my Pro-Line Eight Shooter beadlock wheels? they're 2.2's and i can get the bead to stay small enough to let the beadlock clamp down, i was thinking of freezing the tires to let them retract a tiny bit.
