Vents Lens problem

I have had my Vents Avatars for less than a year and I have used them only twice. The last time I used them, I switched out the lens for the single clear lens. When I got home to clean the lens, the coating on the outside started to peel off when it was touched by water . In the instructions it says to use water and thats all I used. I have no idea if it is just a protective coating that washed off or if it is the anti-fog treatment put on the lens that came off. I do think wutever it was, it was not supposed to come off. Does anyone know if this is supposed to happen or should I contact Vents about this problem?

This has been a common problem in the past. I think that the dual paned lenses never had this problem though
