Battery life ineffiecient?

First off, I have an all stock Closer and my battery life sucks. Meaning, when I leave the gun sitting idle for a week or so, I have to change it out again. Then again, I am using rayovac batteries and not Duracell or Energizer.

The gun works perfectly and all. Could my problem lie from using the mediocre batteries?

Hopefully, I didn't pinch any wires, but that doesn't seem like the case.

A lot of the cheaper Rayovac's are zinc-oxide and not alkaline.

Stick to alkaline Duracells or Energizers and you won't have issues--unless your board is grounding out somewhere and draining the battery when off.

yeah exactly what he said ^^^

you shouldnt have any problem having your gun sit for a week or so cause thats what i do since i only play on weekends. but maby try during the week sometime to turn the gun on with the eyes off and like click the noid a little bit or something? it might help so the gun isnt just off the whole time. but idk tho

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of, but I did check the board, solenoid and eye wires and they seemed fine. I guess Rayvac lied on the box saying it's an alkaline battery comparable to Duracells or Engergizers...yeah right!

Thanks Blast Tech sir and pbn fellerz.

I've used rayovac's on all my guns and hoppers and they work fine. My dad even had some old electronics with some duracells and some others with rayovacs and the duracells leaked while the rayovacs didn't. But just try different batteries and see which one's you think work the best.
