Below is an updated prize list. As a lot of you pointed out, some of the PE markers that I had originally offered were discontinued. I’ve checked with my suppliers and as of today, the markers I’ve listed below are in stock.

As far as the changes:
- For Level 1 = I’ve got Macdev Droids in there in lieu of the 08 Egos. This is a move in the positive direction as the 08 egos are listed on ebay for $799 to $850. The droids are listed on ebay for $1050.
- For Level 2 = The only change is I’ve added some goggles for first place for you guys .
- For Level 3 = This was the marker that was discontinued and I can’t find a similar marker that is in stock that is around the same price range. So what I’ve done is I’m giving you guys Minis, Tanks, and Loaders all for first place…. I hope you like 
- For Level 4 = No change.

Level 1
(5) Macdev Droids
(5) 70/4500 Nitrogen Tanks
(5) XLT Rolling Gear Bags
(5) Empire Prophecy Loaders

Level 2
(5) ETEK 2 & (5) Empire Event Thermal Goggles
(5) 70/4500 Nitrogen Tanks
(5) Empire Prophecy Loaders
(5) Invert Rolling Gear Bags

Level 3
(3) Invert Minis & (3) 70/4500 Nitrogen Tanks & (3) Empire Prophecy Loaders
(3) 70/4500 Nitrogen Tanks
(3) Empire Prophecy Loaders
(3) Invert Rolling Gear Bags

Level 4
(3) Invert Minis
(3) Empire Prophecy Loaders
(3) Empire Event Thermal Goggles
(3) Empire Jerseys

VERY impressive. Hopefully all these teams sign up so you can give all that away.

The prizes you see above are based off 10 L1 teams, 15 L2 teams, 20 L3 teams and 10 L3 teams so at a minimum I see the list above being given away (provided that a bunch of teams don't drop out from the list that has been generated).

As more than the 10, 15, 20 and 10 teams register, I'll be able to do more prizes for the top 6 positions.

I've got the rules updated for this 2009 season. Tim and I are going to meet tomorrow for lunch to discuss these changes and hopefully by tomorrow evening, I should have the rules avialable to you players to read up on.

I'm also getting close to being down with the Powerpoint Refing Guide that i mentioned a few months ago. I should have that online in a few days as well.

Alright... after talking with Reagan, she is going to run two fields on Sunday so the cap for L2 has been lifted. Not sure how things are going to run exactly, but I'll let you know as soon as I know. Reagan mentioned that by running two fields for the 5man, the fields will be a little small, but that is something I think everyone will be okay with in order to lift the cap.

To follow suite, I'm going to lift the cap on L3 even though we were already running two fields on Saturday. We'll make due some way or another.

Even though the cap has been lifted, I still need you teams to register with APPA and if you can, go ahead and pay your entry. The reason I need this done asap is because some of the prizes are coming from a supplier other than KEE and I need to pay for those prizes up front before they ship them and unfortunately I don't have a few grand laying around colllecting dust. So those that can, please do.

Also... an update on the rules. Tim and I are done reviewing and making chagnes to the rules. I was going to incorporate those changes into the rule document but I accidentally left my red-lines at work.... so it will be tomorrow evening.

what is the field size for L1 and L2? That field is small anyway. cutting it in half will make it tiny.

It's slightly bigger than a regulation size psp field... that's not small.
Although cutting it in half will make it smaller -I would prefer to do that, then tell teams we have to cap it and they won't be able to play. That would potentially screw teams out of playing the series, which is something that none of us wants! I'm hoping to run prelims on Sunday on 2 fields, then finals on 1... but we'll have to wait untill teams all pay to know exactly what the plan will be.

So, register and pay guys!!! We want to make this the greatest event yet, knowing how many teams are playing is vital!!!

I don't know how you can play a 5 man event on what is in essence is half a 5 man field. That to me sounds like a 3 man field. You always need to cap it at something and the original caps sounded good to me.

Teams want to play on a regulation size field. Sorry, but if you cut the field in half, this will be a joke. You will lose some of the teams.

I would prefer a cap instead of half a field.

I really doubt that there will even be enough teams to hit the cap. Their is always a good number of teams that decide not to play.

I agree so don't scare more away by saying the field is going to be half the size. We are traveling 6 hours to this event...because it looked like a quality event on a quality field. Don't scare 5 man teams away be making a small field. Tell everyone that the cap is the cap and you better get your money in if you want to play. Like Dan said...first come, first serve.

This is a picture of the field cut in half. It is still pretty big. This was one of the three man fields. There really wasn't any pics taken of them playing 5 man. As you can tell, the field is still pretty good size cut in half. They also have grass now there to if I can remember right. This was a pic taken a couple of years ago.

I wouldn't miss this one just because the size of the field is a bit small. They put on a good event and have really great refs that know there stuff. They aren't a bunch of punk kids that could care less like you get every once in a while.

Agian, I really don't think there will be enough teams to make it to have to cut the field in half. But plan for a long day of paintball if there is only one field being played on.

I’d like to add that with the ROF being reduced, smaller fields may be a good thing. Also, we did play 5mans before with the field split in half and it wasn’t that bad. Yes, it is a little small…. But it is playable.

If the MPS goes to the field I’m looking at for event#4, that will be a small field too.
