just purchased one and i must say Im very impressed. i have shot both a stock dm9 and slg and the slg wins no doubt. Is there some kind of catch to these guns or what? I mean i had a ego7 and i sold it so i could get a 09 slg. Haah yea its that good. I have a sly barrel kit on it and bloodlines on/off. It is spectacular.

The truth is the truth, always and in any place, Proto SLG UL is a good gun, I use it to practice and train, and the truth is that it has good performance out of tha box and if you want more to get more comfortable, you just have to spend a few more bucks on a feedneck and on/off ASA and a good barrel, but as I said that´s only if you want it, ´couse out of the box is great.

But honestly and in honor to the truth, the PROTO SLG UL is a good gun to train and practice and of course also to play, but for those important games or tournaments I need something better and I use my top line guns, such as DM9, EGO, GEO, SL8R, which have a better performance, because as I said earlier, the truth is the truth and the SLG UL is a good gun but you can not compare it to DM9, EGO, GEO, SL8R or any other top line gun.

That´s just my opinion.

Out of curiosity, what says that the slg isn't as good as a dm9?
If they are both consistent, paint-slinging guns which the slg being an almost unbreakable design, why would the slg fall short of where the dm9 would be?

Comparing guns is considered a versus thread. It is all preference. If some feel that a gun is lower in price shoots as good as a higher priced gun, then that is their own opinion.
