Geo 3 double feeding

My Geo3 detents bend forward when the marker isn't aired up for a while. I replaced the detents and this eliminates the double feeding. Pull the marker out this past weekend to play and the same thing has happened. I havn't played with the Geo in about a month, but I would imagine the detents should not need to be replaced this often.

Anyone else having this issue or any ideas to fix it?

Is the bolt in the forward position when your storing it?

When you degas the marker is there a ball left in the breech?

Have you looked in the manual? They explain all the scenarios you encounter with double feeding I think. PE has the best manuals!

Make sure when you store it you don't leave a ball in the breach. When Degased the bolt naturally is forward about an inch causing strain on the detents. If left unattended will cause the rubber detents to naturally bend forward creating less resistance and allow double feeds.

Good afternoon,

If the bolt moves to the forward position when gassed there is a chance they can touch the detents causing them to fold slightly. However our detents will correct themselves if left for 5 - 10 minutes.

You can do this by either taking them out the marker and standing them upright, you will notice they return to perfect form after around 10 minutes.

Alternatively you can gas up your marker (Returning the bolt backwards), and leave it for 5-10 to do the same

Hope this helps.

I'll see if this works. Last time I used it, I flipped the detents so they would face backwards. The marker stayed aired up the whole day with a hopper full. It didn't start double feeding again until halfway through the day.
