Thumbs up Behind The Scenes PSP Webcast 2008 Interview with Patrick Spohrer, Lane Wright & more

Members and Guests

Thanks again for your continued support of PbNation. I wanted to share a nice piece of video that was sent to me from Patrick Spohrer of Monkey with a Gun giving us a behind the scenes look at the most recent PSP web cast.

http://exposureroom.com/members/Aivr...88d981814b0b5/

Quote:
“Patrick Spohrer, Lane Wright and Matty Marshall voice their thoughts about the World Cup 2008 Webcast. They talk about their expectations prior to the webcast as well as what they think concerning the webcast's future. Includes behind the scenes footage of the webcast and the hardworking crew that made it all possible.”
Many of you recall that PbNation for almost two years did live web casts of the NPPL events. It was one of the hardest and most resource intensive projects we have ever done.

If we were comparing vehicles, the web casts we did were bicycles and what Patrick, along with the PSP has created is a sleek, beautiful hyper-drive spaceship. It absolutely raised the bar for the live broadcasting of paintball events.

So take a peak at this video and look closely at the broadcast booth that was packed (and I mean packed) with brand new state-of-the-art broadcast quality equipment and the team to go with it. And marvel. I did.

So here’s to Patrick, Matty, Lane, Rob the PSP owners and the dedicated MWAG/PSP web cast team.

Enjoy.

Thanks
Ed

Fantastic. A great team of people produced a phenomenal result. As I said before I often chose to watch the games live in the PBN booth rather than go to the grand stands!

Hats off to all that had a hand in the production. Job well done I'm sure next years cup will be even better

I am still curious to find out how many viewers paid for and watched the feed.

I was really impressed with how ambitious they were, but I was completely blown away that the product they put out was better than anyone could do live. I knew what Patrick could do in a studio and what Matty could do with a few rehearsal takes, but I had no idea they could put on such a show live. It was honestly better than many of the dvds I have seen that took months to come out.

I missed most of it so I'd like that too. However it'd be better to put the time and money into making the next one even better than putting out a DVD.

I said it in another thread but I'll say it again: thank you for the webcast guys. We needed this.

Big thank you to everyone that watched, from locals at vendor village to soldiers stationed in Iraq to Legion supporters in Russia. We had a true global audience. Also, thank you to the fans that sent Matty questions via PbNation. Great idea to help filter down to 'appropriate' questions.
