I don't mind clicking the one extra link. A lot of sites are employing this, and for the trouble it prevents it's really not much more effort.
Besides, most of the time I'm going outside of PbN on my own will in another tab that I make. So it's not a big deal.

i like the warning page idea, it may be marginally inconvenient but ive seen other sites implement this measure and it is very successful

PERFECT. Exactly what i was talking about.
This is perfect for the infrequent users,(who seem to be 99.9% of those who are phished) or the less than smart, who are not savvy enough to catch onto an attempted phishing. It however should be disable-able to those who are more observant. But i think it fulfills its duty perfectly.
Good job PBN!

I'd be happy if it was optional. I'm sure it's a good idea for those who don't really know that the internet is an unfriendly place, but for those of us who do, it's kind of a waste of time and resources. It's nice to see PBN being proactive about the phishing problem, but the question usually proposed is: Whose responsibility is it that phishing is successful?
Dumb people.
I hope you're not implying that all PBN's userbase is dumb! :rage:

the only thing that this is bad for, is if you use tiny url or something to that matter...because it still asks the questions for clicking on that link..
besides that its a great idea

Good idea for people who are dumb enough to be phished, and a bit of a hassle for people like me..

Perhaps show the message whenever an external link is disguised as a PBN link, but not otherwise?

See my first post, we'll have a solution that alleviates the need for tinyurl soon.

Stuff still happens. The server could still be in the country as the website it's trying to be, so that won't really work 100% of the time.

Yeah, works fine for me too. There's no reason it should block any inline images.

I'm going to have to agree that it's super annoying. Sounds like a mean thing to say but if you are dumb enough to get phished, then that's your own fault. If I can disable it, I won't mind it, but it's kinda overkill to the people that know what they are doing.
To the people that do get phished, there are links in every PM, in the TTMA, and everywhere else. If they can't see those, then that's their problem.
I'm all for trying to make PBN a better and more user friendly, don't get me wrong.

At least make it able to be turned off for those who don't need the protection (IE: members with an IQ above 40).
