Ok, so I took the used geo apart and cleaned it and re-greased it and everything.

It is still SUPER loud. It sounds like a really loud spyder or something, and I have a deadlywind barrel with good paint to match. Dwell is set at stock, it has around 16,000 shots and it does have the GR-2.

It is fairly consistent over the chrono but I cant get the velocity over 240, I dumped a whole hopper over the chrono trying to make some adjustments with not much luck. normally the regs on planet eclipse markers are pretty responsive...

thanks for the help uzielgal

I just read another thread about people having problems with lp tanks on some geos... I have a crossfire tank with a myth reg and I am not really sure what the psi output is. Apparently it was shooting 290 before I bought it and put this tank on it though, so I am guessing that is the problem. I will try throwing another tank on and see if that helps.

Also, what do you recommend having the vvc screw set at? Im looking to have it shoot as smooth as possible, dont really care if it is a gas hog or not

Out of the box, the Myth reg has a mid pressure output - 650psi or so. The stock Geo really needs 800psi or more input. A low input pressure will often lead to low velocity with the Geo.

If I remember correctly, there are Windows emulation/compatibility programmes that you can install, that will then allow the use of e-portal and the USB adapter.

Yes that's true!
I must say I'm a little disappointed in the colorways of this geo!
So the most difficult part is choosing a color!
No new ones coming? to Europe?

Excuse my incompetence, but if I have a GEO with the GR-2 and GST, how does the VVC need to be tuned if the marker isn't broken in, and then once it is?

Thanks much.

I just received a geo in a trade and with the stock reg on it whenever the HPR charges or gets air to it the regulator squeaks. I put on my eTek's stock HPR and this issue is Gone. What could it be ?

I wouldn't worry too much about whether your marker is broken in or not before adjusting the VVC - set it where you want it. On the off chance that the marker had cycling issues when you adjust the VVC, then obviously, you need to reverse the setting until the marker has broken in, but I can't foresee it as being an issue.

Is the noise definitely coming from the regulator?

If so, I would suggest stripping, cleaning and re-lubricating the reg. Might be a good idea to replace the piston head and neck o-rings as well. Check the flat seal on the end of the piston neck for damage, and replace the piston if there is damage present.

Yep, I've never bothered with in between settings, as they would be more likely to shake loose - all the way in for a little more efficiency, or all the way out for a little more smoothness. I don't think the Geo kicks much anyway, so I would normally just screw the VVC in all the way and then leave it alone.

Will the ASA of the ego11 be sold as a part soon?
It looks like a nice upgrade, and can't wait for the info about it.

Installing the |S|T kit will mean that you have installed a new can. It's possible that the vent hole in the new can is blocked, too small, or the laser hasn't penetrated all the way through the side wall of the can.

There are a couple of small changes, but most of the screws are indeed interchangeable. On the Geo2, the screw that holds the trigger pin in place is shorter. You also have the thumb screw adjuster for the feed neck rather than a normal cap head bolt. Other than that, all the same screws.
